Although our relationship with the countryside and agriculture began in the ‘50s, we have always looked for clients who understood and appreciated good quality fruit and vegetables. During the ‘90s, we developed a special relationship with our partner Glinwell, who, thanks to their Italian background and day-to-day work, fully understand Mediterranean products and the British market.
At Agrosol, we know how to attract and keep clients, and we have a client portfolio of various large companies in the food distribution sector.
Some of our most important, current business partners are:
Total Produce PLC came into being as a spin-off of Fyffes Group. It is listed on both the Irish and London Stock Exchange and has specialised in importing fruit and vegetables to the English-speaking market since the 1880s. Valley Grown Salads, UK Salads and other smaller clients are family-owned, mid-sized distribution businesses in the UK used for retail business.
The three main supermarkets that have been selling our products over the years are:
You can also find us in ASDA, Morrisons, Waitrose, Aldi and NettoThanks to the continuous growth of our product range, we plan to innovate and increase our export activity by taking on two very different cultural challenges: Scandinavian countries and the Middle East.
We are looking for business partners to help us understand these cultural differences and adapt our products and calendars to suit the local tastes and needs.
Our current challenge: exporting to Scandinavian countries and the Middle East
Scandinavian countries have been identified as a new market thanks to their respect for sustainability, search for harmony with nature and demand for healthy, high quality, safe, and traceable food products.
In the Middle East, there is a clear increase in competition coming from areas on the other side of the Mediterranean that can compete with Almería in terms of sunlight hours. As part of our strategy, we have decided to compete in these areas of influence where there is demand for high quality products as well as traceability and safety in the food supply chain.
We began our trade relationship with the Middle East last year, distributing produce in refrigerated trucks to a market where our fruit and vegetables have been extremely well received. However, we want to continue the sustainable growth of our company and we’re looking for importers that specialise in high quality produce, that know their clients, and who want or need to incorporate top quality fresh produce into their distribution business, looking for medium to long term contracts.
Logistics with the Middle East have been coordinated alongside suppliers specialised in:
Desde esa experiencia de años creciendo progresivamente en oferta de productos, tenemos el objetivo de incrementar nuestra actividad exportadora, volviendo a innovar, por eso nos marcamos dos retos culturales muy diferentes: Países Escandinavos y Medio Oriente.
We supply individuals, restaurateurs and domestic buyers who are looking for exceptional quality products for their kitchen, because they truly believe that quality food is the best source of health and see Mediterranean food products as a key nutritional element.
Domestically, you can enjoy our fresh produce1 on your table at home, in a restaurant or in supermarkets within 48 hours of their harvest. The short time it takes to transport and deliver our fruit and vegetables means that they don’t lose any of their goodness.
Our general objective is to improve our competitive standing in three areas:
